Meet Dr. Maggie Dooner

Dr. Maggie Dooner, the founder of Treehouse Acupuncture, is a NCCAOM and California Double Board-Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She received both her Doctorate and Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, which included comprehensive clinical and didactical training in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Western medicine.

With a deep passion for improving the well-being of her patients, Dr. Maggie’s clinical focus is centered around reproductive health, pain management, mental-emotional well-being, and digestive support. Her approach works with the innate wisdom of the human body, a principle central to Chinese Medical theory. After facing her own health setbacks and finding limited answers from conventional doctors, she discovered Acupuncture, which healed her body and inspired her desire to become a provider. This approach views the body and mind as an interconnected whole, and rather than utilizing therapies that simply suppress symptoms, she is able to use a myriad of Chinese Medicine modalities to help patients address the underlying root cause of their health concerns.

Dr. Maggie is trained in Traditional Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Japanese Meridian style acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tuina massage, facial rejuvenation acupuncture, and microneedling. She has also had the invaluable opportunity to provide care to student athletes at the Recreation, Intramural, and Athletic Complex of UCSD, which further honed her expertise in sports medicine acupuncture.
